Walnut wood is easy to use for manual tools and mechanical processing. It has good fixation performance with nails, screws, and glue, and has excellent paint and dye retention ability. After polishing, it can achieve an excellent surface. Walnut wood dries slowly and requires careful care to avoid drying aging. Walnut wood has good dimensional stability and has been rated as a wood with extremely strong corrosion resistance for heartwood. Its white wood is susceptible to erosion by mealworms.
